Susan Mohler... I am the third generation in my family to have actively shown and bred top quality purebred dogs.

I have always loved dogs but this breed is simply the BEST! I am so proud to be a steward of such wonderful little dogs.

Through hours of pedigree research and reading I have brought specific Cresteds together and have achieved the "look" of XO dogs. Our goal is for continuing consistency and constant improvement.

Don Mohler... I have been married to Susan, for more than 30 years. It has been quite the journey.

I have driven through blizzards to visit a stud dog because it was "time"... Many nights have been spent waiting for the first "real"; contraction.

I have been rewarded with many happy hours playing with puppies and meeting the interesting people who have come into our lives all because of our Cresteds!

One of the most important lessons I have learned is . . . The most valuable tool you can have is a good "Pooper Scooper".

We strive to breed Cresteds who are healthy and sound in body and mind.

We breed strictly to achieve the next exceptional generation of XO Chinese Cresteds!

Health Testing

We are proud to display the Crested Health "We Cerf"  logo.   All our dogs are  examined annually by a  veterinary opthalmologist. This is known as "Cerfing" your dogs.

It is  very important   if you are considering acquiring a Crested puppy that the parents have had regular CERF exam.   If you are considering an older puppy or adult the dog should have had their own exam.

We are pleased that  the XO Cresteds we have tested are clear for PRCD.

Any other dogs we have bred or own are clear by default for PRCD as well.

We  have our dogs checked by an orthopedic specialist to ensure the dogs patellas are tight and we have a cardiac specialist check all our dogs for healthy hearts.

We are not volume breeders. We breed only when we want a dog for ourselves to show and add new lines to our breeding programme.

If you want a puppy before our litter will be ready, we  are happy to help you find that special addition to your family.  We will gladly refer you to a reputable breeder.

Should you want a show dog please know that we really do make our best Cresteds available to serious Show Homes. 

If you want just that someone special to spend your life with please know that all our pets are sold on spay/neuter agreements. We also require that if during the life of the dog you are unable to care for your pet they always have a home to come back to with us.
